For centuries, ratafia was considered a medicinal remedy. Monks were the original guardians and makers of this liqueur, crafted through the maceration of herbs and spices — a tradition that lives on today in Russet Ratafia.

Made from green walnuts, this exceptional liqueur combines aromatic herbs, medicinal plants, and whole spices following the time-honored recipe of the Catalan house Xavier Codina i Güell. The walnuts are harvested around St. John’s Day, when they reach their perfect stage for crafting this unique spirit.

The name ratafia comes from the Latin rata fiat, meaning “it is approved” — and indeed, Russet Ratafia lives up to its name: a liqueur made to perfection.
